Message From The President
Greetings, fellow members! My name is Scot Pomerantz, a native of Brooklyn, New York, and I am a 31 year old Police Officer currently working midnights at JFK. At the last Executive Board meeting, Oren Hindi stepped down as President of the organization due to personal reasons. Therefore, as per the Shomrim Society constitution, I am now assuming leadership of the Society. The first appointment I made was to offer former President Hindi the title and role of Executive Vice President, which he graciously accepted. I take on the responsibility of the Presidency with committed dedication. I promise to lead the Shomrim Society to the best of my abilities, so that we can once again be an organization that our members and employees can be proud to be a part of.
To further introduce myself, I have been with the Port Authority for 6 years. I have enjoyed the diversity of the Department, and I look forward to the many opportunities that the agency offers. I still consider myself a newcomer, as compared to the many members who have 15, 20, and even 25 or more years of dedicated service. With that said, I still have much to learn about this agency, and with your help I look forward to accomplishing this mission. Please feel free to reach out to me anytime via e-mail at President@panynjshomrim.org, or you can always drop me a note at JFK Bldg. 269.
